Snow Sports
A pursuit enjoyed but very much at novice level, cross country skiing probably favoured over downhill and there is a thirst to take this on a level with some skiing hut to hut as a multi-day trip sometime, some place. Sadly, winters are not what they used to be in Scotland so ski-mountaineering options don't seem as numerous as they once were. However, an unexpected and enjoyable cross-country ski trip in 2009 has raised hopes that I can get some use out of my gear on the odd occassion whilst exploring new areas by other means than by foot.
